Every larger city has its own street artists and you’re sure to find a couple of them in Pilsen. However, if you arrive at the capital of West Bohemia at the beginning of September, you can admire musicians, dancers, actors, magicians, acrobats and many other performers from all over the world right in the city historical centre. No need to purchase any tickets, simply throw a bit of change into artists’ hat. Busking is, in fact, nothing new, it has existed since the Middle Ages. It’s up to each artist whether they will enchant you with their performance so much you stop there

And what can you look forward to in the streets of the city in September?
- Thanks to the unique concept of the festival, you have the chance to see professionals alongside beginner buskers.
- Some of them will be given space in the main programme, some will perform in one of the so-called free zones scattered in the city centre, where you can try busking yourself.
- The performances will take place several times during the day, so you can be sure that you won’t miss anything interesting.
- The musically diverse programme will be complemented by painters, comedians, freestyle football players and other artists.
- In the heart of the festival on Republic Square, a large stage and food stalls will be built, but you will find there also creative zones, where anyone passing by can participate in artistic activities. You will run into buskers even in city parks around the square and in adjacent streets.
