Ice Sculptures in Depo Moto Art

Visit the unique exhibition of ice sculptures in the building of a former sugar refinery in Pilsen, nowadays the Depo Moto Art museum. Starting in March, its remarkable collection of historical cars, motorcycles and bicycles and also modern art will be expanded by the sculpture art works, which were carved out of the unbelievable 100 tonnes of ice. Among twenty frozen exhibits, especially eight life-size sculptures stand out. For inspiration, creators have reached back to prehistoric times, so you will meet, for example, an elegant sabre-toothed tiger, a stegosaurus or a mammoth.  On top of that, you will see real fossils found in the Rokycansko region (near Pilsen) in the ice. The sculptures are protected against melting by the cooled area, where the temperature does not go above -6 C°. Therefore, don’t forget warm clothes.
