At this exhibition, entitled “Extended”, you have an opportunity to look back on the artwork of Rostislav Vaněk, an important author and teacher of graphic design as well as a typographer and painter. His creations are to be seen at the Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen until the beginning of February 2025. The retrospective look meets a view by contemporary graphic design here. The exhibition, putting author’s graphic outputs on a timeline, tries to initiate a discussion on how his works are perceived by not only colleagues in the field, but also by non-professional viewers in their everyday life. In addition, you will also see – apart from the well-known works, such as graphics of the information system used in the Prague metro – projects which have never been put on display and thus never seen by public before.
