The specific influence of contemporary visual culture and art on the work and thoughts of the great 20th century writer Franz Kafka is documented in a new exhibition at the Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen. The cross-sectional installation maps the images of popular culture and the works of authors who influenced Kafka in his everyday life and thereby also influenced his literary work. However, Kafka himself is also presented as a skilled painter. The exhibition will feature original drawings by Kafka, as well as more than 30 original works from domestic and international archives and private collections.
