For the seventeenth time, the Juniorfest International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience will bring films from children’s film genre into to the spotlights once again. This festival focuses on several categories – feature and animated film, documentaries and series. The film production for children of various ages will compete against each other in the competition section. Some of the films will have also its premiere right at the festival, other films were acclaimed and awarded at festivals abroad.
Each year, screenings are held in seven cities and towns of Pilsen region: Pilsen, Horšovský Týn, Dobřany, Domažlice, Přeštice and Klatovy. Young viewers will see Czech and international films that will introduce them to the latest trends in cinematography for children. However, the screenings are not the only thing you can experience at the festival. It actively involves and educate visitors in the film industry. Children and adults alike have a unique opportunity to meet filmmakers, actors and actresses here. You can also take part in thematic workshops, creative sessions and other film-themed activities.
