Tours of the Pilsen Historical Underground

Since 13^th century, a labyrinth of passages, cellars and water wells were built under the city centre. Right there, citizens stored beer, food, ice and gained drinking water in the past. The underground also functioned as a shelter from threatening dangers during war times. The guided tour will uncover a secret of authentic finds and nooks and crannies which are hidden 9 –12 metres below the surface and introduces you to the life under the city. The tour route is about 800 metres long and the entrance is permitted to children under the age of 3 due to safety measures. Pilsen Historical Underground is closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day.
