Echoes of the Pilsen BLIK BLIK Festival of Light will take place in the kaolin mine in Nevřeň already for the second year. For three days, the former underground mine will transform into a luminous landscape of dreams and fantasies, inspired by Jules Verne’s novel – Journey to the Center of the Earth. On your own adventurous expedition in the underground, you will be captivated by video mappings, light installations and effects dancing not only on the mine walls. Thanks to the unique location of festival echoes, you don’t have to wait until it gets dark – the enthralling visual performance will stand out in the darkness of the underground world even during the day. On a smaller scale, you will enjoy what the BLIK BLIK Festival of Light in Pilsen has offered. What is more, Nevřeň is probably the smallest village where you can visit the festival of light.
- The light route is 700 metres long.
- Children under the age of 4 cannot attend the route due to safety measures. Pets are also not allowed on the tour.
- The starting point is the Kaolin Centre (Centrum Caolinum Nevřeň), which is located about 20 minutes from the entrance to the mine. A marked nature trail will guide you there. In the Centre, you can find, among other things, a multimedia exhibition about the history and the present day of the mine.
- The temperature in the mine is around 10 °C. Don’t forget warm clothes and also sturdy shoes.
- Tours are held on Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm, on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 9 pm. The last visitors can enter the mine at 8 pm.
