The Pilsen Zoological Garden regularly ranks amongst the most visited zoos in the country. It draws visitors with its vast variety, its record number of animal species from around the world, and its successful efforts to raise young animals.

Meet the fauna, admire the flora, explore the expositions
Some of the biggest stars at the Pilsen Zoo include giraffes, rhinos, lions, tigers, bears, penguins, flamingos, kangaroos, zebras, crocodiles, and for many, the everyday farm animals at the Lüftnerka Farm. But you also won’t want to skip the newest expositions: The World Underground and the Poison Kingdom, where you’ll see the most poisonous snakes on Earth. The zoo also includes a botanical section, complete with a Japanese meditation garden.
Commentated feedings
Typically on weekends and during the high season and summer holidays, you can join in to watch falconry shows or commentated feedings with the penguins or butterflies, for example.
The DinoPark next door
It doesn’t matter if you’ve only got a short while or several hours. You could even spend the whole day here by combining your trip to the Pilsen Zoo with an adventure-filled journey to prehistoric times. At the neighbouring DinoPark, you can admire the giant models of prehistoric reptiles that both move and make noise. Receive a discount by purchasing a ticket to both the Zoo and DinoPark.
A special train will take you from Republic Square directly to the Zoo
Starting in June, you can once again take the special train to the Zoo. You can board the train at Republic Square (the stop is on the east side of the square across from Dřevěná Street, the line number is 76). The train ride costs 50 CZK for all riders over the age of 3 and tickets can be purchased on the train.
