Exposition

From what we’ve heard, you won’t experience a similar exposition anywhere else in the world. Thanks to the fact that the Brewery Museum is located within the only surviving brewing house in Pilsen, you will have an easier time imagining the methods used to produce and consume beer during the Middle Ages. You get to check out the original late-Gothic malthouse with its threshing floors, kiln and roller, and you can also take a peek inside the beer cellar that dates back to medieval times. You will familiarise yourself with the history of beer production as well as with other brewery-related professions, such as cooperage, stagecoach driving and restaurant/pub services. A collection of tankards, beer bottles and other brewer’s curiosities are waiting here to amaze you.

Tour of the museum

You can embark on a tour of the museum on your own at any time during opening hours. Printed guides and a special mobile app are at all visitors’ disposal. The Brewery Museum is connected to Pilsen’s Historical Underground, which numbers among some of the most expansive underground systems in Europe with its nearly 20 kilometres of passageways and corridors. You will have no problem combining your visit to the museum with a visit to the city’s underground system. Tickets to both may be purchased at the same checkout counter.
